By keeping Drs on shift for so long without sleep, doesn't that make the chance of human error higher? I know how precious these donor organs are, and I would hate to see them at risk due to the surgeons being so exhausted. No hate to this amazing doctor by the way, I think she is incredible. I am more hating on the system, that's making these doctors exhausted

I’m an organ driver in the uk it’s not uncommon for us and surgeons to be out for 40 hrs at a time. Especially when the liver is split and then transported to another hospital and then transplanted. Poor surgeons will not sleep for 60 hours unless they are in the car

Another enthusiastic episode, We have a very well established cadaveric programme here in Sri Lanka and most people who benifit from it don't know the value of it, the dedication and sacrifice of the Transplant surgeons and the team, most of our Surgeons travel by road for retrieve the organs drive back and operate. Whish their life would be made easy and given good returns!

Or more than 120 hours, basically you’re done when your patients are taken care of, if something happens then you have to go back into work no matter if you only got home 3 hours ago. There is no protected time off like in most jobs.

I cant believe its so much hate on this comments. These is one of the most difficult and important job ever. We all had some very ill family and whish there was a human organ to replace the one who was ill and many times we could not have It because among other causes there is not enough doctora trained on these. Some one should do that work and we all should be thankfull because of these doctors. I am an ICU doctor and a mom and I made both works and these one is hard, there is not cuddles from anyone, no kids laugh,it is totally different from a housewife roll, both are important but these one is unique. So proud of these doctor and her sacriffice, so sad about many comments. Sorry for my Engish, is not my native language.

Dearest Dr. Raga! I’m not sure if you’re ever going to get a chance to read this, but nevertheless! I just wanted to let you know, that I don’t know you personally, but you are so DEEPLY INSPIRING and your journey has been so wonderful to witness. It feels like yesterday when I discovered your channel when you were a first year trainee, and look at you now! Doing a fellowship in such a NICHE, elite and competitive specialty in one of the largest, most dynamic cities in the States. Every time i used to watch your videos, i would be so amazed and tell myself, my God this girl is living out my dream life! The sheer dedication, grit and hard work from day one until now is unparalleled! I remember running into you in the changing rooms before stepping into the theatres at RH (you were studying then too 😃) and you were so warm and friendly! It has been so beautiful to witness your evolution, growth and achievements along your entire journey. Your success is not only a personal success but such a huge win for women in surgery worldwide. Can’t wait to see you shine even brighter every day!! Keep crushing!
